Laura Evans

Laura has been a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner since 2000. She received all of her nursing degrees from University of Massachusetts- Amherst (RN, Bachelor of Science in 1993; Nurse Practitioner, Master of Science in 2000; Doctor of Nursing Practice, PhD in 2009). Laura has worked in several specialty areas including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and Primary Care.

She is also Certified as a Culinary Medicine Specialist and in Obesity Medicine. Prior to healthcare, her first undergraduate degree, from The College of William and Mary, was in Physical Education where her coursework included human anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, and exercise physiology.

Not only has Laura’s career dovetailed health, wellness and fitness, she embodies the same. She eats a healthy plant-based diet and has competed in many types of endurance events including: triathlons, trail and road running races, gravel and mountain bike races, adventure races, long distance open water swim races, and ridden her bike across country. In her spare time, she teaches adults to swim. She is passionate about wellness and health promotion. Acknowledging that there is no Fountain of Youth, she can help you retain or regain your health.
