Our Services

There are a cluster of health conditions that affect the heart and metabolism. When two ore more of these conditions are present, the risk of heart attack and stroke increases. These include:

– Metabolic Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD), commonly called Fatty Liver
– Overweight/Obesity
– Insulin Resistance, also called Pre-Diabetes
– Hypertension, also called high blood pressure
– Hyperlipidemia or high cholesterol, specifically high triglycerides and low HDL (good cholesterol)

Other conditions contributing to Cardio-Metabolic Health are:

– Sleep Apnea
– Chronic kidney disease
– Systemic inflammation
– Smoking

There is growing recognition of these risk factors and of Cardio-Metabolic Disease in general. The critical role of lifestyle intervention has gone under appreciated. Healthy eating and regular exercise are key factors in treating and preventing Cardio-Metabolic Disease.

Cardio-Metabolic Disease affects multiple organs and treatment should focus on the multi-organ “cross-talk” and inflammatory pathways. Drug therapies, while effective, remain expensive, and sometimes long-term accessibility is limited. Therefore, individualized lifestyle intervention remains the most cost-effective long-term strategy for prevention and treatment.

We use a variety of “tools” to evaluate and identify your individual risk factors including lab tests, anthropometric measurements, body composition screening, ECG, Coronary Calcium Scoring, echocardiogram, etc.

Treatment modalities include Healthy Nutrition counselling, Healthy Exercise coaching and Medication, as needed.

We are currently accepting New Patients, age 18 and above.

An appointment for Health Screenings is incorporated as New Patient appointments if it is the first time you are coming to the office. Once you are an established patient, subsequent visits are called Follow-up Visits.

We are not open 24 hours a day. Urgent matters should go to Urgent Care or to the Emergency Department.
Body Composition testing reveals the proportions of different body tissues (muscle, bone, fat) and water in the body.
It provides a detailed picture of overall health and fitness.

Who should undergo Body Composition Testing?
-Anyone on a weight loss journey
-Athletic individuals interested in improved performance
-Adults who have Cardio-Metabolic Disease
-All adults interested in reducing their risk for heart disease, diabetes, cancer and those focused on longevity.

Once Body Composition testing is complete, make an appointment with a Senle Care Nurse Practitioner to review the results and learn how to optimize your health.
